Description

Probably the best mid-season pear for garden cultivation. Light green fruits with a pinkish-red flush have a creamy-white very fine flesh which melts in the mouth. The flavour is sweet and rich with a nice balancing acidity and plenty of juice. Its only downfall is that is the short season of use. It is reliable, with some resistance to scab, and crops reliably even in years with late frosts, but the fruit do not drop easily - and can therefore rot on the tree.
