Description

Raised in 1920 at the Long Aston research centre, this variety is a cross between Williams Bon Chretien and Conference. A heavy cropping, good quality pear that succeeds on heavy soils, although is not a good pollinator of other varieties. The flesh is yellowish-white fine, slightly gritty near the core and with a sweet juicy flavour rich with a hint of musk.
