Description

Intense sweet, rich, spicy flavour; flesh is white, melting and juicy; equal or superior to Beurre d'Anjou in dessert quality; growth is moderately vigorous and crops are reasonably heavy; an excellent and desirable pear. Originated as Fertilia Delwinor raised by the Delbard Nursery in France in the mid 20th C, but didn-Æt make its appearance in the UK until 2004 when it was renamed Invincible by FP Matthews nursery. A hardy and reliable variety that is self-fertile and an excellent choice for cold, more exposed sites where other pears would struggle.
