Description
Intense sweet, rich, spicy flavour; flesh is white, melting and juicy; equal or superior to Beurre d'Anjou in dessert quality; growth is moderately vigorous and crops are reasonably heavy with large classically long pear-shaped fruit. This is an excellent and desirable pear, and one that was regarded as amongst the top dozen pears by Victorian gardeners. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
