Raised at Prince's Nursery, New York c. 1790. Trees first brought into UK in 1818. The fruits are clear yellow, large and round-oblong, and of firm juicy flesh with a delicious dessert flavour. The tree is modest in growth, and the blossom is both late and large making it a suitable variety for smaller gardens,
