Description

The Wild Cherry. A broad, spreading tree with particularly noticeable red banded bark. Sprays of small, white flowers with yellow anthers are produced in mid spring. The young foliage is bronze in colour, becoming dark green during the summer and then finally turning yellow and red in the autumn. Heart-shaped or round red fruits are borne in the autumn.
