Description

Pale yellow semi-double blooms that sometimes are more buff to amber towards the centre. Good disease resistance. Raised by Dr. W Saunders (Canada) 1900 from a cross between Rosa rugosa x Rosa foetida ‘Persiana’, and was introduced by Agriculture Canada Ottawa in 1922.A very hardy and cold tolerant variety, although with thin petals that can suffer from rain damage. Sometimes produces a second flush of flowers in September. Very prickly stems.
