Dark red flowers which look like velvet with a strong rich fragrance. Slight disease resistance. Raised by Alfred James Fraser (UK) 1950 from a cross between Crimson Glory (hybrid tea, Kordes, 1935) × Madge Whip.Needs a bit more care than some - can be prone to mildew
