Description

Highly esteemed Irish variety, first exhibited in 1818. Small heavily russeted fruit with a slight orange blush, which have an intense sweet-sharp flavour. Quite nutty in texture. Stores well, although the fruit can crack so mulch the tree well or keep well-watered. Disease resistant and able to cope with wet conditions make it a good choice for the west of the country. This dessert Apple is believed to have originated from Kilkenny, Ireland in 1818
