One of a large family of grasses found all over the world, Schizachyrium scoparium 'Ha Ha Tonka' is a selection of 'Little Bluestem' from the Piet Oudolf Collection. It's a collaboration between Oudolf and master plantsman, Cassian Schmidt (Director of Hermannshof public botanical garden in Weinheim. And, the name? Well Ha Ha Tonka (meaning 'Big Laugh' or 'Smiling Waters ?) is a national park in the Ozarks, USA.
