Description

A recent variety that has been bred for disease resistance, flavour and yield from the Long Ashton Research station, Bristol University. Vickie makes a good tree of moderate size and strong vigour and is a popular choice for exposed sites. It comes in to flower quite early, late April/early May, so best to avoid planting in areas of late frost. Fruits are large, shiny and bright red with a good dessert flavour. Early season mild, bittersweet cider apple. This Apple is believed to have originated from Bristol, UK in about 1990
