Description

Found growing as a ‘gribble’ (Seedling from a pip) in the wall of a water mill at Yarlington, North Cadbury, Somerset around 1910. A medium bittersweet cider variety, renowned for its huge crops of small pale yellow fruit, which produce a medium bittersweet cider 'of good aroma and flavour'. It is grown extensively in cider making regions where it is favoured due to its upright growth, and high yield. The resulting cider is a medium bittersweet vintage with a good flavour and strong aroma. This self-sterile Apple is believed to have originated from Somerset, UK in 1910
