Description

Discovered growing in a hedge in the early 1800s by John Braddick at Claygate, Surrey, this good reliable cropper became one of the 'indispensable' apples for Victorian and Edwardian society. The firm pale cream fleshed fruit has a delightfully rich aromatic nutty flavour, somewhat akin to Ribston Pippin and Blenheim Orange in style.
