Description
Introduced by Wood of Huntingdon in 1790, but probably much older, and from the Court of Wick in Claverham, Yatton in Somerset. Red flushed russeted fruit speckled with gold, with an intense fruity flavour. Widely grown in the 1800s, and said to be very hardy. A fine fruit, raised from a pip of Golden Pippin. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
