DescriptionIntroduced by Wood of Huntingdon in 1790, but probably much older, and from the Court of Wick in Claverham, Yatton in Somerset. Red flushed russeted fruit speckled with gold, with an intense fruity flavour. Widely grown in the 1800s, and said to be very hardy. A fine fruit, raised from a pip of Golden Pippin.
