DescriptionExcellent full bitter-sweet cider variety producing small, greenish-yellow fruit which have a delightful sweet, astringent juice and full-bodied cider. Appears to benefit from plenty of potash. Said to have been found as a gribble (or pip seedling) from the variety Chisel Jersey in Middle Lambrook, nr Martock in Somerset, by one Mr William Dabinett, and later propagated by Porters nursery (Theres another well-known Somerset cider name).
