Description

First recorded in 1897 by King's Acre Nurseries in Hereford, this is believed to be a Sturmer Pippin x Ribston Pippin cross. Not the prettiest of fruit - dull green covered with a grey-brown russet - but certainly one of the tastiest, this late dessert apple has a rich sweet-sharp flavour, plenty of juice and a wonderful aroma. Needs plenty of room as growth is vigorous and spreading.
