Description

One of the best from these new Long Ashton selections, and introduced as a new bittersweet cider variety at Long Ashton Research Station, where trees were named in rows. And, as this apple grew in row 10, and was tree number 66 - hence it got its name from the Battle of Hastings 1066! Produces good regular crops of large fruit, making sweet astringent and slightly acidic juice. This Apple is believed to have originated from Bristol, UK in 2007
