Description
Found in a wood near St Agil in central France, and introduced to the UK in about 1892 probably by Bunyards nursery, this is a handsome golden pear that has white flesh which is buttery-soft and juicy with a pleasing fruit-drop flavour; and which ripens easily and retains its quality. It is a vigorous and quite hardy variety; and a moderate to heavy cropper. For help with choosing the correct rootstock for your needs, please click here A Guide to Rootstocks
