Beautifully scented rich red, heavily veined roses. An abundance of mid sized blooms. Slight disease resistance. Raised by Alain Meilland (France) 1963 from a cross between Chrysler Imperial (Hybrid Tea, Lammerts, 1952) × Charles Mallerin (Hybrid Tea, Meilland, before 1947), and was introduced by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in .
