Description

Raised by Mr Smart in Sittingbourne, Kent, first described in 1883. A handsome looking fruit, green, becoming yellow in colour, with one side completely flushed with purplish-red stripes, becoming scarlet red as the fruit ripens. The flesh is extremely firm, quite dry yet sweet.
