Orange and blue are a classic combination of contrasting colours. Sitting on opposing sides of the colour wheel, putting them together has the effect of each making the other seem more vivid and intense. Double orange tulips sit just above blue spires of muscari, bringing out the best in each other.Flower height: 15-30cm

Planting density: For a show-stopping display, plant at 150 bulbs per metre squared. Otherwise plant in clumps of 12-15 bulbs between existing shrubs and herbaceous.
