Description

One of the favourite perennial grasses for it's beautiful 'quaking' habit, seen when the straw-coloured seed heads form on delicate wiry-thin stems (Briza media has medium-sized seed heads - there is a 'maxima' and a 'minima' as well if you want the 'whole set'). The clump of fine linear leaves from which the seed stems rise is rather blue-green, which adds to the contrast with the seed stems in autumn.
